I always absolutely hated reading the Claudia pages because I felt like I was getting dumber in the process. Nevertheless, though, this is going to be awesome
and yeah I definitely liked Kristy the best, big surprise there
THANK YOU ALISHA!
this has made my day— the re-release of the BSC series! Mary Anne was my favorite. lame, i know, but i was always shy as a kid, and my best friend was pushy, so she’d be Kristy, the president, and i’d be Mary Anne, the secretary with the cute southern boyfriend from Louisville, KY. still have never met anyone named Logan in real life but i’m sure if i did, i’d like him. Logan Bruno! what a dreamy name. i also remember thinking Claudia was a bad Asian because she wasn’t good at school. hahahah.
i’m so happy about this because this series was way better than Twilight or whatever crap kids have to read these days. oh geez, i’m starting to sound old… “kids these days! with their… Twitter!” (i also refuse to get a Twitter account because it reflects the ever-increasing lack of attention span of the American public.)
plus, i have most of the series on the bookshelf in my study room, AND a poster autographed by Ann M. Martin herself. she is probably the 2nd biggest celebrity i’ve met, after David Duchovny or Ben Folds (haaaaa). i met her when i was about 10, and i had no idea what to say to her, so i basically just let my mom handle it.

#130 Ray-Ban Wayfarers « Stuff White People Like →
“White people love these Ray-Bans because they were very popular in the 1960s and the 1980s. This gives them a historical precedent and allows white people to classify them as “timeless.” That way when they purchase these sunglasses they can talk about how they were inspired by the fashion and music of these bygone eras. When a white person says this, you should just nod and mention how they look like young Johnny Cash, a dead Beach Boy, Audrey Hepburn or an extra from a John Hughes movie.”

“…along with all the apocalyptic stuff, the ’00s also brought us something less tangible. Something equally traumatizing. Something relentless. Something borderline sinister. It was—drumroll—the INDIE decade…
I am optimistic that the pendulum might swing back. History has shown us that it probably will…
What does all this mean for you, the ordinary woman in the street? Girlfriend, it bodes well. Relax! Roll down your Alexander Wang knee-highs and prepare to welcome in the DORKY TENS.”
