ok folks, so because Google is awesome, I will be working from our Dublin office for a month coming up later this summer. I’ve booked a few weekend trips (obviously including one to see my #1 tumblr fan jfo) but have two weekends that currently remain unscheduled. any advice?!?? here are some of my considerations:
- nonstop flights available to/from Dublin available in evening (after 5 PM)
- not London, Paris, Greece, Monaco, Ireland, or Amsterdam
- not some small obscure place where no one speaks English
- fun place for an individual traveler as I’ll more than likely be riding solo
- food that I will like … and basically I only eat things off of child’s menus. Pizza, no veggies, bland foods, meat, bread, cheese, that’s about it. I’m not joking you here.
- small enough that I could cover most ground in 2 days
Currently under consideration:
- Barcelona
- Berlin
- Brussels
- Edinburgh / Glasgow
- open to suggestions
any thoughts??? bonus points if you have any recommended hostels/hotels or tour companies in the particular place(s). thanks in advance for your infinite wisdom
